Where's the DVD?

I have some bad news, and.... well, bad news for you all. The torrent is down and the DVD had a serious flaw. I am not exactly a newbie at authoring DVDs, but this is the first one I ever did completely from the ground up. I was able to successfully burn myself a copy and it worked beautifully. I wish you all could have seen it. Then, the files I put out for torrent (which took 4 days to upload) did not work. Reports indicate the files are "encrypted" and would not burn to a Video DVD. Data DVD would work, and you could watch the videos as standalone, but the intent was to watch this as a DVD on your tv, not computer. So, I killed the torrent. I am going to get to the bottom of this "encrypted" bullshit and I promise you when I bring the DVD back, I'll include something extra to make the next download worth your while. And it'll download faster, too.

DVD Specs

For those of you who have been wondering about the quality of the DVD release, here are the specs.

Video:
Framerate = 29.97
Bitrate = approx. 8000 kbps

Audio:
Encode = MPEG Layer II
Type = Stereo
Rate = 192 kbps / 48 kHz

Other:
Length = approx. 2 hrs. 15 mins.
Size = approx. 4.36 gb

Some of you familiar with creating DVDs may be wondering how I was able to fit so much without losing quality. The answer is really deceptively simple. Most of the videos are short, probably averaging under three minutes. Those I was able to encode at a higher bitrate around 8500. Longer videos like the Genesis 0:0 documentaries were encoded at a lower bitrate around 7000. Since these documentaries are mostly static and don't have a lot of action you don't need to worry about a loss of picture quality. When it was all finished the data was actually too large to burn to a standard DVD. So, I used DVDShrink to compress the data. Fortunately, there was only a 5% compression, so the quality loss is not noticeable.

Finally Finished!

It is finally finished! I just posted the torrent on Demonoid so start downloading it, Eva fans! Also, here is a preview of the cover art included in the torrent. This project took me a long time and a lot of hard work so I hope you all enjoy it.
